Fruits and vegetables consumption was required by human body as sources of vitamins, minerals and fibers in achieving a healthy and nutritious balanced diet. The objective of the analysis is to obtain proportion and the average of fruits and vegetables consumed by Indonesian population at the age group, both in urban and rural areas from the 2014 Individual Food Consumption Survey The analysis showed that almost all Indonesion population consume vegetables (94.8%) but only a few of them that consume fruits (33.2%). Average vegetables consumption was 70.0g/person/day and fruit consumption was 38.8 grams/grams/person/day. Total consumption of vegetables and fruits were 108.8g/person/day. When they were compared to the recommended adequacy under the guidelines of balanced nutrition, fruits and vegetables consumption were still low. A total of 97.1% of the population did not consume enough vegetables and fruits. When it was compared to the age group, teenagers were the highest age groups who consumed less fruit and vegetables (98.4%). The study concludes that the average consumption of vegetables and fruits of the Indonesian population was still low, in the context of balanced nutrition by age group, both in urban and rural areas, and the lowest was teenagers.

Faktor Risiko Dominan Penderita Stroke di Indonesia

Stroke tends to increase and becomes the first leading cause of death as well as disability in Indonesia that impact in socioeconomy. Stroke is preventable through early detection and control of risk factors. This study aimed to assess the dominant risk factors of stroke in Indonesia. Analysis was done using secondary data of a cross sectional study called Indonesian Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) 2013. Data were analyzed using SPSS 17 software by complex samples. A total of 722,329 subjects aged 15 years and over were included. Stroke prevalence was 1.21%, no difference by sex but increased along with the age. People aged 55 years and over were at higher risk of stroke with adjusted OR of 5.8 (5.32; 6.32, p 0.0001) compared to aged 15-44 years old. The other risk factors were coronary heart disease, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, heart failure. Those were 3.13, 2.96, 2.87, and 2.74 times respectively compared to people without related conditions. Stroke occurred since younger age. The dominant risk factors of stroke in Indonesia were older age, coronary heart disease, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and heart failure. Healthy behavior and early detection of risk factors should be encouraged to prevent stroke.Keywords : stroke, risk factor, Basic Health Research (Riskesdas)AbstrakStroke semakin meningkat dan merupakan penyebab kematian serta kecacatan tertinggi di Indonesia yang berdampak secara sosioekonomi. Penyakit stroke dapat dicegah dengan deteksi dini dan pengendalian faktor risiko. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh faktor risiko dominan penderita stroke di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dari Survei Riset Kesehatan Dasar Indonesia tahun 2013. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS 17 dengan complex sample. Dari 722,329 responden usia ‰¥ 15 tahun, didapat prevalensi penderita stroke sebesar 1,21%, proporsi tidak berbeda antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Risiko stroke meningkat seiring meningkatnya usia. Responden berusia ‰¥ 55 tahun setelah memperhitungkan faktor-faktor lain berisiko 5,8 kali (5,32 ; 6,32, p 0,0001) dibanding usia 15-44 tahun, selanjutnya penyakit jantung koroner, diabetes melitus, hipertensi, gagal jantung masing-masing sebesar 3,13 kali, 2,96 kali, 2,87 kali dan 2,74 kali dibandingkan responden tanpa penyakit-penyakit tersebut. Stroke sudah mulai muncul pada usia muda. Faktor risiko dominan stroke dalam penelitian ini adalah umur yang semakin meningkat, jantung koroner, diabetes melitus, hipertensi, dan gagal jantung. Deteksi dini faktor risiko dan promosi hidup sehat sejak usia dini perlu digalakkan agar memperkecil kejadian faktor risiko dan stroke.Kata kunci : stroke, faktor risiko, Riskesdas 2013

Pengembangan Media Poster dan Strategi Edukasi Gizi untuk Pengguna Posyandu dan Calon Pengantin

The results of study Nutrition Awareness Family (Kadarzi) in six provinces showed that nutrition knowledge and behavior of adults group is still low. The study of Kadarzi focused on the development of nutrition education strategies which was adjusted to the problems found in the community. The goal is to develop a media strategy posters and nutrition education for mothers of posyandu users and the future brides in an effort to achieve Kadarzi. The type of study was operational research. The study design wascross-sectional, with qualitative and quantitative methods. The study was conducted in three provinces: West Java, West Sumatra and East Kalimantan. The Samples taken for messenger is posyandu cadres andmarriage-guidance counsellors. The Samples taken for nutritional education is the mothers of posyandu users and the bride. Educational messages developed were advice to eat vegetables and fruits, weighingfor children under five, pregnant women anemia, exclusive breastfeeding and malnutrition. The results from the test of implementation nutrition education using posters media Kadarzi showing >70 % of targeted education increased their nutrition knowledge better than before, and generally the posyandu cadres were able to convey the message properly as well as the marriage-guidance counsellors in the Office of Religious Affairs. This study concluded that nutrition education posters which were made fairly simple, easy to understand, universal and also effective were able to improve the nutritional knowledge of mothers of posyandu users and future brides.Keywords : Nutrition Education, poster, aware family nutrition, posyandu users, future brides.AbstrakHasil Studi Keluarga Sadar Gizi (Kadarzi) di enam provinsi menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan dan perilaku gizi kelompok usia dewasa masih rendah. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada pengembangan strategi edukasi gizi yang disesuaikan dengan permasalahan yang ditemukan di masyarakat. Tujuannya mengembangkan media poster dan strategi edukasi gizi untuk ibu-ibu pengguna posyandu dan calon pengantin dalam upaya pencapaian Keluarga Sadar Gizi. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian operasional dengan desain penelitian potong lintang (Cross-sectional) menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di tiga provinsi: Jawa Barat, Sumatera Barat dan Kalimantan Timur. Sampelpenyampai pesan adalah kader posyandu dan penyuluh perkawinan. Sampel sasaran edukasi gizi adalah ibu-bu pengguna posyandu dan calon pengantin (catin). Pesan edukasi yang dikembangkan yaitu anjuranmakan sayur dan buah, penimbangan berat badan anak Balita, anemia ibu hamil, ASI eksklusif dan gizi buruk. Hasil uji implementasi edukasi gizi dengan menggunakan media poster Kadarzi yang dibuat, menunjukkan bahwa >70 % sasaran edukasi pengetahuan gizinya meningkat menjadi lebih baik dari sebelumnya, dan kader posyandu mampu menyampaikan pesan dengan baik begitu juga petugas penyuluh perkawinan di Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA). Dari studi ini disimpulkan bahwa poster edukasi gizi yang dibuat cukup sederhana, mudah dipahami dan bersifat universal serta cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi ibu-ibu pengguna posyandu dan calon pengantin.Kata kunci : Edukasi gizi, Poster, Keluarga sadar gizi, Pengguna posyandu, Calon-pengantin
