This research is based by the use of technology in learning activities. Besides the conventional learning by using the whiteboard media that makes students less interest and decreased students motivation to participate in learning activities. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of using powtoon audiovisual media to improve students motivation on economic subjects in MA Mathla'ul Anwar Pontianak. The method used is experimental method with pre-experimental design with form is one-group pretest-posttest design. The subject of research is a class X IIS 3 MA Mathla'ul Anwar. The average pretest learning motivation outcomes of students is 67,86 while the average posttest learning motivation outcames of students is 80,06. Based on the paired sample t test with significance level α = 5%, values obtained Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) is 0.000. This shows that the use of audiovisual media powtoon learning is effective in improving students' motivation on economic subjects in MA Mathla'ul Anwar Pontianak. effect size results in learning motivation score is 1.08. It shows the effects of the use of audiovisual media powtoon learning to improve students' motivation is very high.
