Studi Kerapatan dan Perubahan Tutupan Mangrove Menggunakan Citra Satelit di Pulau Sebatik Kalimantan Utara

Hutan mangrove merupakan ekosistem yang rentan sehingga membutuhkan pemantauan terus menerus untuk mendeteksi berbagai ancaman seperti aktivitas manusia dan bencana alam. Penginderaan jarak jauh dan sistem informasi geografis (SIG) sangat efektif untuk digunakan dalam pemantauan ekosistem mangrove karena dapat menjangkau daerah yang luas dan dapat dilakukan sekala berkala. Penerapan teknologi penginderaan jarak jauh untuk memantau ekosistem mangrove di Pulau Sebatik belum pernah dilakukan sebelumnya. Penelitian ini penting untuk mengetahui Perubahan kondisi hutan mangrove di Pulau Sebatik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghitung akurasi klasifikasi tutupan lahan dengan resolusi spasial yang berbeda, mengukur Perubahan mangrove dari tahun 2005 sampai 2016, dan menganalisis korelasi antara nilai Normalized Different Vegetation Index (NDVI) dan persentase tutupannya. Klasifikasi tutupan lahan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan klasifikasi terbimbing dengan algoritma Maximum Likelihood. NDVI digunakan sebagai indikator kerapatan mangrove. Pengukuran data lapangan diambil untuk menghitung tutupan kanopi. Penilaian akurasi klasifikasi citra Landsat sekitar 83% dan citra SPOT 6 sekitar 90%. Mangrove di Pulau Sebatik mengalami peningkatan dari tahun 2005 sampai 2016 sebesar 31,27%. Korelasi antara tutupan NDVI dan kanopi dikategorikan tinggi dengan koefisien korelasi r = 0,82 (Landsat 8) dan 0,85 (SPOT 6).

Pengaruh Jumlah Titik Aerasi pada Budidaya Udang Vaname, Litopenaeus Vannamei

One effort to increase dissolved oxygen concentration in pond waters is by applying bottom aeration system. The number of aeration point in the pond bottom allegedly affects oxygen solubility and shrimp farming performance. This study utilized two concreted ponds of 1000 m2 each equipped with two bottom aeration systems built by 100 cm long of rubber diffuser, totaling 140 pieces (Treatment A) and 70 pieces (Treatment B). The PL-9 of L. vannamei were stocked with density of 600 ind/m2 and reared for 70 days. Treatment A resulted dissolved oxygen of 3.04-10.36 (6.60±1.07) mg/L which were higher than Treatment B where the range of dissolved oxygen were 2.77-7.92 (6.08±0.95) mg/L. In contrast, nitrite, total nitrogen, phosphate and dissolved organic matter were lower within treatment A. Shrimp production, survival rate and feed conversion ratio in Treatment A were5, 620 kg, 93.6% and 1.12, respectively; whereas in treatment B were 4,000 kg, 80.7% and 1.51. Treatment A resulted in a better the L. vannamei farming compared to treatment B. To increase the supply of dissolved oxygen in the pond, a rubber diffuser can be used which is connected to a blower.

Spatial and Temporal Pattern of Pelagic Fishing Ground Used Oceanography Data in West-sumatera Waters

The West Sumatera waters is one of the waters that has a huge potential for fish resources. Many fishing activities carried out near the coast, and fishing gear used in West Sumatra waters is a Bagan. This study aims to determine the relationships between sea surface temperature and Chl-a concentration with pelagic fish catches in West Sumatera waters. The data used were SST and Chl-a in the periode of 2014 – 2016. The variability of SST and Chl-a data was analyzed using Empirical Orthogonal Function (EOF) method. This study shows that the EOF SPL mode indicates that the overall value of SPL range is above the average (positive anomaly) with a total variance of 81.24%, while the Chl-a shows that the overall value of variability is at an average (negative anomaly) variance of 70.23%. The results of cross-correlation between SPL and pelagic fish have a lag time of 2.2 months, meaning that pelagic fish predates SST and predominantly occurs in a 6-month period. The relationship between Chl-a and pelagic fish was dominant in the 0.5 year period which showed a gap between Chl-a and pelagic fish catches with a lag time of 22 days.
