Background: Nurse is a profession that risky from stress. Factors that become a source of stress on nurses one is the workload. The workload consists of a physical and mental workload Method: This research is purposed to look at the influence between physical and mental workload with work stress on nurses in installation of emergency room of Region General Hospital Cianjur. This type of research is explanatory research with cross-sectional design using Spearman Rank Correlation test and Pearson Product Moment test as well as Simple Linear Regression. The samples taken by purposive sampling Result: Based on the research of the respondent€™s characteristics, it is found out that 46,1% of nurses are 26-30 aged, 73,1% of nurses have work period less than 6 years, 96,2% of nurses are D3 nursing graduates, 73,1% of nurses are male. The Nurse with low physical demand are 96,2%, high mental demand are 70,1% and no evidence of possible work stress 70,1% Conclusion: The result of statistical reveals that physical workload (p=0,322) does not have correlation and mental workload (p=0,048) have an influence with work stress on nurse in instalation of emergency room of Region General Hospital Cianjur
