Illustrated stories media is considered as the most appropriate one to be applied in learning of oneself theme in the low class in order to make them understand the concept of the theme easier. The goal that the writer want to reach is improving the teacher and student activities during the learning process, increasing student learning result after using illustrated stories media, and describing the obstacles which occur during the learning process. The writer uses Class Action Research. This research aims to correct teacher ethics in order they can increase the student learning result in social studies and civics education for daily activities theme which uses illustrated stories media and direct instruction method. The method of data collection that the writer uses is quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The implementation results in cycle I are teacher activity percentage 73,1% with average score 3 (category “good”), student activity 71,25% with average score 2.85 (good), the complete result of student learning about social studies understanding 53.85% and civics education understanding 38.46%. Then, in cycle II is about the increasing percentage of teacher activity which becomes 98,1% with average score 3.9 (very good), student activity 88.75% with average score 3.6 (very good), and each completeness of student learning result in social studies and civics education understanding 100%.
