Abstract

. This research is purposed to describe the improvement reading comprehension skill by using survey, question, read, recite, review method to students of XI SC 1 SMA Negeri 1 Semparuk Sambas regency in academic year of 2012/2013. Research method which is used is descriptive with Classroom action research procedure. The result of the research shows that lesson planning which is conceived by the teacher is appropriate and lesson planning which is conducted by the teacher is appropriate as well as maximal. Activities and learning result are increasing very significantly. Learning result is increasing in every cycle. The average score of cycle 1 is 67, 12% and cycle II 78,28%, it is increasing for 11,16%. Thus, reading comprehension learning by using survey, question, read, recite, review method to students of XI SC 1 is very effective.
