Formulasi Dan Uji Stabilitas Sediaan Gel Ekstrak Terpurifikasi Daun Paliasa (Kleinhovia Hospita L.) Yang Berefek Antioksidan

Paliasa leaves contain flavonoids which has antioxidant activity. The aims of this study was to determine the formulation of gel containing extracts of Paliasa leaves (Kleinhovia hospita L.) purified extract with variation of concentration (1.IC50, 3.IC50 and 6.IC50) which have antioxidant activity and good stability. Purification Extract was conducted using n-hexane to increase the activity of antioxidant in extract of paliasa leaves (Kleinhovia hospita L.). Antioxidant activity of paliasa leaves purified extract was tested by DPPH method (1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl) to determine inhibition concentration 50 (IC50). Stability parameters tested in this research were organoleptic, homogeneity, pH and viscosity. Cycling test method was conducted on gel for 6 cycles. Results of the determination of activity antioxidant of ethanol extracts and purified extracts of leaves paliasa is 123,70 ppm and 93,52 ppm, while the activity antioxidant of the extract gel purified paliasa leaves among others 1.IC50 (333,12 ppm), 3.IC50 (242,13 ppm) and 6.IC50 (147,31 ppm). Results of stability test showed that all gel were stable in homogeneity, pH and viscosity but gel with 3.IC50 and 6.IC50 of paliasa leaves purified extract were organolaptic unstable because of color changing after cycling test. Kandungan senyawa daun Paliasa yang diduga berperan sebagai antioksidan adalah flavonoid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah formulasi gel yang mengandung ekstrak terpurfikasi daun Paliasa konsentrasi 1.IC50, 3.IC50 dan 6.
