This study concentrates on assessing horizontal and vertical linkages in coffee value chain in the central highlands of Vietnam. The used methodology includes survey questionnaires and face- to-face interview with 157 farmers, 48 traders, 35 pre-production and 19 processing companies based on M4P value chain analysis. The results show that horizontal linkages are quite insecure, not clear, lacking in cooperation. Vertical linkages mean inclination and unbalanced collaboration between the stages. Thus, some coopratives should be established to encourage actors to participate in the exhibition and organize exhibitions to gather the actors of the same chain. All forms are intended to promote how the actors can "see" each other to increase trust among the actors, help reduce costs and increase competitiveness for the chain.
