Puerperal infection include all of the inflammation caused by the entry of germs into the genitals during childbirth and postpartum . Factor in the occurrence of puerperal infection can originate from injury in the birth canal which is a good medium for growing bacteria . Propolis as a natural treatment contains an active substance that serves as a remedy for various diseases . Propolis is a natural antibiotic , antiviral and antifungal natural with no side effects , but it also Propolis as Anti-inflammatory ( infection and injury ) . This study aimed to analyze the effect of the use of propolis in perineal wound healing . This study used an experimental method . Experimental method used is the approach Quasy Experimental Design Control Time Series Design . The samples in this study were mothers with postpartum perineal wound . The number of respondents is given perlakuaan with propolis administration of 20 respondents and 20 respondents as a controlgroup .techniques of statistical analysis with Mann-Whitney test . The results showed that perineal wounds in the control group until day seven 45 % with good results , 55 % with moderate results and no one showed poor results . Perineal wound in the treatment group until day seven 60 % with good results , 40 % with moderate results and no one showed poor results . Based on the test results of Mann - Whitney U statistic with SPSS 130,000 results obtained with Asymp.Sig .( 2 - tailed ) 0.024 < 0.05, which means there is the influence of the use of propolison wound healing of the perineum in women post partum . The conclusion of this study is the use of propolis no effect on wound healing of the perineum in women post partum . The results of this study are expected to be useful to health professionals in providing care to mothers with postpartum perineal wound healing with the use of propolis for perineal wound so that the wound of the perineum in women experiencing postpartum healing process normally without any infection .
