Abstrak

The aims of this study is to increase motivation and learning outcomes, through the cooperative learning modelwith Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type at the material states of matter. Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The participants of this research were 35 students in VII D class on SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Kakap. The instruments are consist of quesionnaire sheets motivation and achievement test. It showed that the inerease of student learning outcomes percentage on first cycle and second cycle is 71,43% to 80,00%. The results of student motivation showing improvement, namely in the first cycle and second cycle of strong category 75,80% to 81,14% strongest category. These results indicate the type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) can improve motivation and learning outcomes of students in the material form of substance.
