Analysis of the Experimental Ballast Water Treatment System

The object of research is the experimentally created model of the accompanying ballast water treatment systems (BWTS) at the Danube Institute of the National University «Odessa Maritime Academy». (Izmail, Odessa region, Ukraine). The study is aimed at assessing the compliance of ballast water quality standard D-2 ballast water operational cycles by disinfection and purification. One of the most problematic places of the presented research is the renewal (acquisition) of a separate node segmentation of the experimental BWTS with attraction of certain material support (investment). In particular, it is the scaling of BWTS, presentation in the state market of Ukraine, abroad (competition), qualitative assessment, certification at the level of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration (USPA), the register of maritime shipping. Elimination of the above «problem-tasks» will contribute to the collective research support, opinion and effective steps of professionals-researchers, in particular, in the maritime industry (experts IMO – International Maritime Organization, professors, academicians TAS – Transport Academy of Sciences). Also, compatible contribution of significant research results to separately oriented projects (European, Ukrainian) with attraction of investors, mentors, maritime industry business. The research used modern practices of design of such accompanying BWTS, referring to innovative methods, methodologies of global production of such structures of famous world brands, for example, Alfa Laval, Wartsila, OceanSaver, Hyde Marine, Industrie de Nora, etc. Researchers have qualitatively and consistently studied the generally accepted series of technological processes for ballast water treatment, observing classical according to the analytical review of literature sources and in the modern coverage (state) of similar stages of ballast water decontamination/cleaning. Qualitative expression of the received result is a number of conducted researches of disinfection/purification of sea outboard water in laboratory conditions on experimental BWTS. Thanks to the latter the reliability of the presented data is provided, which coincide (are identical) with trustworthy, established by the BW quality standard D-2, that are specified in discussion and conclusion of the given work.

Practical Use of Dry Magnetically Controlled Biosorbent in Purification System of Domestic Sewage

The object of research is domestic sewage of sewage treatment facilities in Slavutich (Ukraine) and sorption capacity of the new dry magnetically controlled biosorbent (MCB) in relation to conventional pollutants of domestic sewage. The research found that the existing problem in wastewater treatment – exceeding MPD standards for indicators such as COD, ammonia nitrogen, nitrite, total iron, phosphates, smell – can be solved by using dry modified biosorbent obtained by magnetohydrodynamic mixing (MHDM) in crossed electric and magnetic fields. It was also selected optimal dose of dry MCB, which is 4 g/dm3 and optimal biosorption time – 20 minutes. The optimum particle size of dry MCB for effective biosorption is 0,1 mm. Efficiency of removal was determined not only for heavy metal ions by dry MCB on the basis of Sacharomyces CEREVISIAE yeast, obtained by MHDM in crossed electric and magnetic fields, but also for effective removal of such indicators of domestic sewage as: smell, COD, ammonia nitrogen, nitrite, phosphate, total iron.As a result of researches it was found that dry MCB completely neutralizes the smell of sewage from the V points to 0 points. The effect of COD treatment is 48,1 %; ammonia nitrogen – 46,7 %; nitrite – 91,7 %; phosphates – 64,4 %; total iron – 51,7 %.Efficiency of dry MCB is in reduction of concentration of pollutants to MPD level. The advantage of dry MCB, obtained by MHDM in crossed electric and magnetic fields, is in storage and transportation. Research is useful because dry MCB, obtained by MHDM in crossed electric and magnetic fields, can be removed in speed mode using magnetic separation. The results of this research can be used for dose selection of dry biosorbent for wastewater sewage of sewage treatment facilities, where there is a problem with the purification of the above parameters. This will allow treatment facilities to purify sewage water to MPD standards and reduce the negative impact on the reservoir.

Analysis of the De-dollarization Problem in Developing Countries on the Example of Azerbaijan in the Conditions of Geopolitical Asymmetry

The object of research is the asymmetry of interests in geopolitics between developed and developing countries. In the context of the global crisis, the issue of de-dollarization is relevant from the political and economic point of view. What will be the behavior of small oil countries in this situation is a big problem. Also for them the question remains: how to get off the oil needle in the most painless way?The method used in the study is analysis of the current situation not only from the macroeconomic, but also from the political point of view. Also, the ways of solving the above-mentioned problem by other states are examined in detail, and comparative analysis is conducted in the case of applying these methods to Azerbaijan.Recently there was a favorable situation on the world market for raw materials. Thanks to the global economic crisis, the «resource blessing» has turned into «resource damnation». This theory points to the interrelation between large revenues from the natural resources' export and the weak economic development of the country, and reflects the suppression of market development and the decline of other economic sectors' competitiveness, the increase of the national currency, inflation and unemployment. It is difficult to overestimate the role of oil in the economy of Azerbaijan. In Azerbaijan smaller proportion of employed in the industry gives more of GDP, reflecting the predominantly mineral-raw material orientation. The population is the main supplier of resources to the stock market world over. But for Azerbaijan, there no chance on successful development of this economic sector yet. In current conditions, Azerbaijan should treat the idea of de-dollarization more restrainedly. Today, especially during the currency crisis, it is economically unprofitable, not to mention the fact that Azerbaijani raw materials exporters need dollars and Euros to pay off their foreign debts and make purchases on imports to support the extraction of raw materials. The transition to manat, if it takes place, will sharply worsen the competitive position of Azerbaijan in the energy markets. Costs will increase significantly for importers, since they need to buy manat for dollars or Euros, to lose on the difference between the rates of buying and selling. In addition, they would have to spend money on insurance against risks of depreciating manat, and this would also be worth a lot, because manat is a currency, which rate is subject to very high fluctuations. The acquisition of fuel is often done at the expense of a loan. There is a very high percentage of manat loans. Here is one more extra cost for those who would have to buy Azerbaijani fuel for manat. When we force customers to pay extra, we lose them.
